CALLING ALL WRITERS

Lake Park Library has a WRITERS GROUP.

Adults!  Stop driving all over Florida for a Writing Critique group!  Every Saturday from 10:30 to 1:00 pm join other writers in a circle style critique group.  Bring writing submissions up to 1500 words in to share.  Print a few copies to be passes around if you want line edits and written comments from other writers, or bring a poem to read aloud for verbal critique.

Saturday 10:30-1:00 pm

Lake Park has... Vampires?

Teens, adults with a guilty pleasure for vampires, come out and join the Lake Park TV-Book Club.  Have your favorite books as a kid, or heck, favorite books now, been turned into a TV show?  Do those shows do your books justice?  Now's the time to debate with others.

Right now we're looking at The Vampire Diaries which is based on a young adult book series by LJ Smith that were first published in the 90's.  The books have since been re-released because of the Twilight craze.  Come find out about the series that was the craze BEFORE Twilight and decide if the hit TV show does it justice!

Every Wednesday Night: 6:00-7:00 pm.

Lake Park Library Has Anime Club!

Okay, so Lake Park Library has a Teen Room that is currently under construction, but just because the room isn't ready doesn't mean Lake Park isn't ready for teens.

Every Tuesday night from 6:00-7:00 pm is Anime Club.  So far we've been watching Full Metal Alchemist, Ouran High and Avatar: The Last Airbender (which isn't really anime, but hey, we still like it).  Some of the members of the club are going to start bringing in some of their own personal anime collection and we add it to the line-up.  If you're 13 or older and love anime and want to make some friends who love it as much as you do come on out.  Everyone is welcome at any time.

Tuesday: 6:00-7:00 pm!
