Summer Reading Guidelines
Readers who can participate in this program must be 17 years of age or younger.  This summer’s program is an incentive program.  For each event or activity you attend, you will receive a set amount of tickets.

During each program, you will be presented with opportunities to win tickets.  Certain programs and activities are worth more tickets than others.  You can also volunteer your time to earn more tickets if you are at least twelve years of age.

Readers may read books that interest them or Sunshine State Recommended books and come in every Wednesday to create a 60 second commercial about the book that they have read.  Each recording session is worth 20-35 tickets depending on the difficulty level of the book and the thoughtfulness of the commercial.  Near the end of the program, commercials will be judged and 3 to 5 commercials will be chosen to appear in a Summer Reading 2013 video.  The creators of the chosen commercials will earn 50 tickets a piece.

At the End of Summer Party, readers are encouraged to bring all of their earned tickets to be redeemed for prizes.  Each prize will be worth a set amount of tickets.  Some of the prizes will include iPod Shuffles, Kindles, Flash Drives, Gift Cards, and much more.
Regular rules of the library do still apply.  Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult whilst inside the library.  Also, for some programs, space may be limited, so please come on time to have the best chance of getting to attend.   Any food or drink served will be served on a first come, first served basis.

Thank you for reading the guidelines and if you have any questions, please feel free to drop by the library, give us a call: 561-881-3330, or to attend the Summer Reading Kick-Off Party for orientation and a Question and Answer session on June 12, 2013 at 1:00 PM.
